portsmouth music hall
The Portsmouth Music Hall is a community supported non-profit performing arts center in the heart of downtown Portsmouth. The wide variety of performances brought to you from local artists to global entertainers exemplifies this community’s dedication to the arts.
Designated as an “American Treasure,” by the US Senate, the Music Hall has emerged as a cultural anchor in the region. It’s history dates back to 1878 when shows may have featured Vaudeville acts with elephants and Opera. Today the Music Hall continues its tradition of providing Portsmouth with grand Holiday orchestral concerts, Independent movies, nationally known singers, musicians and speakers.
We love the Music Hall and the place it holds not only in Portsmouth culture and history but also in the hearts of many locals.
